At the beginning of the video, on July 1, the mother elephant is seen crossing the road and climbing over the ridge in Gudlur, Niliris, Tamil Nadu.

The calf raises its front legs, but it is not enough to climb. It then attempts to find another way to return to its family.

It runs parallel to the carrier, but the mother elephant is not for the ride.

She leaps to reach the young elephant, and it attempts to climb up her back.

The mother sits above the carrier and lowers her trunk onto the rump of the calf in order to lift it.

According to local reports, traffic was stopped to allow the elephants to safely cross the road.

A proverb stated that everyone who saw the mother help the young elephant praised the care she displayed.

The little elephant placed its front legs on the barrier once more, and its mother used her trunk to assist it in climbing the fence.
