Firefighters were called to an emergency when they found a dog that was shivering on the side of the road in the rain.
His cruel owner had not only left her, but he had also tied the three-month-old to a tree, stopping her from leaving her sad situation.
On a cool day in Sacramento, firefighters spotted Portion the dog but couldn’t stop since they were on their way to an emergency call.
However, the kind-hearted firemen did not forget the scared pet, and once they concluded their phone call, they returned to release her and also took her back to the station house to help warm her up.
Mike Thawley, a firefighter, talks about how the dog was shivering and what led to the rescue of Chunk.
Mike and his colleagues gave Portion a warm bath and wrapped her up in all the love they could muster to keep her warm.
Unfortunately, this dog needed more than just warmth; she was suffering from severe management, which had resulted in the loss of her fur, which, like everything else, had been neglected.
She was taken to a pet shelter, where she was treated for mange and was tested to ensure she was in good health.
But, as Piece relaxed, one person couldn’t stop thinking about her.
Mike Thawley, a firefighter, had to return to visit his four-legged pal.
“We all just kind of fell in love with her,” the Sacramento Fire Department said on their Facebook page.
Piece couldn’t stop wagging her tail when she saw the firefighter who had saved her. But Mike wasn’t just going to see the dog; he was also there with his wife and three young daughters.
Chunk was well enough after 4 months to leave the sanctuary and live with Mike and his family.
