It’s been a while since we last heard from Quasimodo the dog, so we thought we’d update you on his current situation.
This one-of-a-kind puppy is one of only 15 in the world. His mother, on the other hand, would undoubtedly argue that there isn’t anyone quite like him.
This lovely pet was born with a rare condition known as short-spine syndrome. “He’s a pure German Shepherd… but shorter,” his mother explains.
In Kentucky, he was discovered as a stray dog. Quasi was terrified of humans and extremely bashful. But it wasn’t until he met a caring human named Rachel that his true personality emerged.
He’s having a good time these days, running around in the snow, playing with his friends, and chasing girl dogs (apparently, he’s quite the ladies’ man!).
Quasimodo’s human formed Secondhand Hounds, a non-profit that saves hundreds of animals each year, and it is here that he receives all of the care and attention he needs.
He needs to do things differently than other dogs, such as eating his food without leaning down, but he’s now a happy, carefree dog with followers all across the world, including us!
