Dog Dumped In Empty Parking Lot With Nothing But Her Bed For Comfort

A puppy named Bluebelle sat patiently in an empty parking lot in Austin, Texas, waiting for someone to notice her. The senior pittie’s only protection from the scorching pavement was her dog bed.

When rescue arrived, Bluebelle gazed up at the animal control officials with sad eyes and gratefully accepted snacks from their hands.

“You could tell how glad Bluebelle was to be saved and brought to the shelter,” Stephanie McCutcheon, the Austin Animal Center’s marketing and volunteer coordinator, told The Dodo. “When Bluebelle first arrived, she drank a lot of water and slept a lot in the air-conditioned comfort of her bed.”

Bluebelle, who is estimated to be about 9 years old, is now receiving the care she requires at the Austin Animal Center. Her losing fur and rough, red skin are caused by demodex mange, a skin mite infestation, and she is receiving treatment for conjunctivitis in both eyes.

Bluebelle, on the other hand, refuses to be discouraged.

“Aside from all of her health challenges, she is in good spirits,” McCutcheon said. “She has the sweetest little smile and even a tiny bounce in her step.” We have fantastic Animal Care personnel and Vets who have been monitoring her closely.”

Bluebelle’s shelter employees thought she’d be happier in a home, and because to the pup’s endearing demeanor, she quickly found a foster family prepared to take her in.

“Despite her appearance, her heart is still full, and she is quite receptive to mankind,” McCutcheon explained. “She recently met a foster family and their dog, and everything went well, so Bluebelle will be leaving the shelter shortly!”

Bluebell’s health difficulties will be resolved, and she will begin her quest for a forever family that will adore her for the rest of her life.

But, for the time being, Bluebell is content with a roof over her head and a pleasant spot to rest and relax in her favourite dog bed.
